Miriam is one of the few female master distillers in Mexico. She began her career at iconic distilleries such as Cazadores — long before it was acquired by Bacardi. Miriam’s role in shaping that and our brand speaks volumes about her expertise and influence.

Before joining ELALA, Miriam led production at several renowned distilleries, earning a reputation for excellence grounded in tradition, precision, and heart. Her work is bold, refined, and unforgettable — just like our tequila.

We were introduced to Miriam through Ara  from Distill Ventures, a powerful advocate for bringing more diverse voices to the forefront of the spirits world. From our very first conversation, it was clear that we shared the same passion: for authenticity, for quality, and for female empowerment in an industry still dominated by men.

Miriam’s journey is one of resilience and quiet revolution. Coming from a family of distillers, she stepped into a role few women have held — and is now reshaping what leadership looks like in the world of tequila.
